You Will Laugh to See

You, in your running about.
Are you still watching the clock
with your strong intentions to give more?
Lay down -- be the stillness of a river bed,
feel the stream fill you and rush over you
like an impassioned lover looking for a way
to touch everywhere,
at once.

In seeing yourself through eyes of one
who is loving you,
you will weep to know
how much you had missed
in not being yourself.
And you will laugh to see
how that can never be.
